If you are from the Windows or linux world I can say "yes", I don't know about Mac's but I'd assume so.

Most PC's come with basic send/recieve fax software. If you have Windows look under start / all programs / accessories / communications.

If you still can't find a built in fax program check out MightyFax. You can download a trial of it and of all the fax programs I've seen it does the job for the least amount of money at $19.95us .

Windows actually has a built in fax function. By default its not installed when the operating system is installed so what you have to do is go to start > control panel > and then choose add/remove components. Then you can select the fax utility to install. Of course your computer must be connect to a fax line via a RJ-11 connection. Once the fax applet is installed, you can specify folders for incoming faxes, cover pages, etc.

If you have a Modem in your PC you can use Windows XP's inbuilt faxing application for your basic needs. But if you need a professional solution try Winfax which is more advanced and offers lot of features.
