I can read from my USB pendrive... copy files from it but I can copy files to it. Then I got my external removable drive, and the problem was just the same. Is there a way out?

The drives are formatted as NTFS so they will not allow copying any files from Mac system. Reformat these drives to FAT 32 file system and they will be fine for copying files from the Mac. They will still work fine on any Windows computer also. Keep in mind that all data will be erased when you format the drives.

make a copy of the file by either clicking on it and then pressing apple c or right click it by pressing ctrl and mouse. Once copied, paste it either onto the USB file and if that doesnt work then drag the copy on to the device and it should go in. Best thing to do is to drag it!
