It sounds very much like spawning activity to me. Be sure to feed them both very well over the next few days and try to find a nice big flat rock or two to put in the tank on the males side. Them let her back on his side and see if they spawn in the next day or two. Once they spawn they will stop fighting so much.
It's hard to give any more informaiton than that without knowing a lot more about your set up. Tank size, age of the fish etc are all quite important is figuring these things out for certain, but I would bet it's spawning.

Firstly, these fish are extremely difficult to sex, so how are you so sure one is male and one is female, and which is which?
Second, if you bought these two Oscars and raised them together, that doesn't necessarily make them a breeding pair, even if they are male and female. To properly gain a proper pair it's best to start off with a few Oscars, grow them up together, and then let them choose amongst themselves.
If the aggression shows no signs of abating you will need to seperate them - permanently, as the only two Oscars that will live in relative peace in a tank is a mating pair.

I know alot about oscars and I will tell you that if there locking jaws there two males if there were a male and a female then they would be hovering over some flat surface. There are terrortioral and like alot of space. You will never breed them. Oscars only breed in 150 gallons of water or more. and they have to be alest 25 lbs of more. All oscars sold in pet shops are babys...No need to seprate them they are doing what oscars are doing. also you have to have three females to one male.. once they pear off and you will know.. you have to remove the other females. oscars mate for life. Being there egg layers they like to be around slate no plants..so if there fighting just be sure you have a female among them, and dont worry they really never hurt themselves... Oscars are the best.. the only fish in the world that knows whos is owner is...good luck

Maybe it might look like attacking to you, but it could very well be them trying to mate. Which is why she wants to get back on the other side with the male.

For every male you should have 2-3 females. All of his attention is on the one female now. With other females his time will be split. Downfall of this option, the weaker of the females probably will be killed.

Could be territory aggression. Possibly they're at the spawning age and that's what's causing it. Hell, all my fish were smaller and not to aggressive. Good luck

You don't say what size tank you have. They may be getting crowded and fighting for space.
