Could anyone suggest what guitar strings would sound best for an acoustic guitar that will be tuned DADADD? (Gauge, make...etc?)

If I were going to use that tuning I think I would buy two sets of strings and combine them or buy individual strings....here is why:
The top and bottom string you are going to tune down one whole step. Not a big deal for most strings but the heavier gauge you use the less likely you are to get fret buzz. Its all about the tension. .024, commomnly used as a G string is at 30.2 lbs of tension at the note G. If you tune it down to E, it is 21.4 lbs, so it flops around a bit more causing the string to hit the next fret resulting in that annoying buzz. So, Here is what I would use for each string knowing that the outer strings are tuned down and the B and G are being tuned up.

Low to High
,053
.042
.032
.022
.013
.012

That should give you proper tension and good even sound across the notes.

Martin Phosphor Bronze, 10 gauge may be OK but 11 gauge may be safer - you don't want rattle.
