Make a card yourself. The words that you write will be from your heart and that is the gift that matters the most. Those words will stay with him forever, He can read them at anytime, anywhere and whether you are colse together or far apart you will always touch his heart. You will know how he truly feels from the look in his eyes when he has finished reading it.

Just simply give him a video or recorder played for him in the morning of his birthday. The video / recorder contains what you really expect from him and your feelings and your wishes. Oh, also, just interview several good friends of his about what they think of him in their mind..

Or get him into an exclusive event that only you can wangle - maybe you have contacts somewhere that you can exploit; some left-over favours awaiting...

and candy with words written on it-maybe you can write personal messages on each candy wrapper-something along the idea, to make it more personal
