like should I get fake nails? or manicures? tan? whiten teeth... I feel like all these things will make me appear more "together"... but they also seem very fake... anything else?

Teeth whitening does always look great, but it's expensive and not always good for the teeth/gums depending on which one you use. A manicure always looks nice and good accessorizing too - nice earrings or bracelet, these can all be good finishing touches. Coordinating colors well too also helps! Hair can look very "groomed" by pulling it up into a French chignon style, which is quick and easy! :)

Well everyone is trying to tell you to stay natural. Screw that. All the stuff you mentioned does make a huge difference and you'll notice it once you're getting it done. The downfall is that it costs money to keep it up. But if you're not broke then go for it. Guys appreciate it more when you take care o yourself more. As for nails, you can get very thin, short acrylics so they'll lok natural. In french. That's what I did and it's a huuuuge help. Toes should always be done btw.Teeth whitener costs but do it if yu'd like. Tanning is unhealthy and can be pricey. So can the spray tan. Self-tanners are usually crappy butI use the Jergens Natural Glow and you apply it daily to get the shade you want. So you don't automatically turn orange or too dark. It's a lotion. Hair will also make a big difference. A nice trim, blow dry will help, polish will help. If you do all of these things right then you won't look fake. You have to be suttle and not ridiculous. If you're interested in makeup then do light shades so you'll look naural - mascara, gloss, blush/bronzer is all you really need to give you a littl perk but not over do it.

BE YOU! The worst thing that anyone wants to see, is someone with an orangey fake tan, and sharp fake long nails. They want to see the REAL YOU. So, just wash your face thoroughly with cleanser, or cold water. Put on a little mascara or eye liner, a pale shade of lip stick or gloss. Put some clear varnish over your nails. Put on your best smile. Clothes that are totally YOU. You won't look like Jennifer Lopez but everyone loves a Jenny from the Block.

Forget all that. Sure they are enhancements.
Self Confidence is the only thing to give off the polished, grounded, confident, allure to send out. If you have no confidence in yourself others will notice it a mile away. Not attractive. Confidence excudes sexy.
Most expensive clothes in world will not help insecurity.
Potatoe sack on a confident person will have much more appeal...Mary.

go for the hygiene look. nothing more pretty than that, and a nice clean fragrance ever so lightly. the natural look is the best. neat hairdo, a touch of blush, lip gloss, light mascara, not thick lashes light, and your their.

Smooth hair is very important, blow dry or straighten.
And pay attention to your eyebrows - they can make or break a face.
