Because they rightly perceive that the vast majority of politicians are corrupt and dishonest. Also, they can see that to get any meaningfull power in contempirary politics is entirely dependant on wealth. To succeed in politics, huge amounts of money is required to bankroll your political career. Any claims to moral highground and idealism is undercut by the depressing fact that big bucks is ultimately pulling the strings.

The political world is simply a fenced off area to most young people. The can flirt on the edges but unless they have a very priviliged background and support structure the doors are shut on progress and change. Particularly if you want to do something radical like start a new party that breaks with the deep rooted conservative ideologies of mainstream politics (which is quite indistinguishable between left and right these days).

A vested interest is required, for anyone to be interested in politics. Although the youth will be paying for the political decisions today, tomorrow, typically youth have always been more interested in today.

good evening sir, may i know which youngster hate polititcs, all are eager to get in polititcs, they hate only the politician and not the polititcs, see i am studying B.E(arunai engg college), i am very much interested too spend my life for politics, it means to develop our country, how could we youth get into politics, is there any way to get elected not by means of givivng money, if the same politics and the rules goes on, india will never be developed ,, and even it could loose all the things wat it has now too, first our drawback is language, In india there are infinite languages, so from the childhood till +2 every one must compulsorily learn hindi as our national language, and their one mother language, and english for connecting with other world. and our education teaching is not good,, there are more things running in my mind..my role model is gandhiji for those who behave good, and my another role model is subash chandra bose for the devil ones.

it's not true!! some of them just ignore it, but it's not true that MOST of them HATE it. Some of them just ignore it, probably because they don't think they are involved with the problems politics deal with, such as work, taxes and so on. When they grow up, they might understand.
