Mainly because plants are organized such that most of their nutrition and metabolic needs are met through passive collection (e.g. sunlight, absorption from soil, etc) from their immediate environment. Animals typically have to scavenge or hunt in order to get food, which requires movement.

Because of their different reproductive strategies. A plant can just sit there and catch the pollen on the wind in order to reproduce. They don't have to run around looking for someone of the opposite sex to mate with.

Most animals are endotherms which means that we make heat (energy) from the inside. Plants get their energy from the sun. When animals get cold, they shiver, to make heat in the body. Reptiles are ectotherms get their heat from external sources.

I think plants would move if they could, but they can't due to having roots, which animals haven't got, so they move just because they can

Plants don't really need to move with each being adapted to the condition to they live in. They are able to make their own food and rely on abiotic and biotic factors for reproduction

Whereas Animals need to be able to move for food and reproduction
