I mean the system has bugs. I mean you call to talk to an agent and u get an automated message that already knows the problem with your machine. It just really irks me

Because they could. The system uses upgradable firmware so any bugs can be fixed with regular patches available via X-BoxLive. Anyone who refuses to subscribe can still download patches from the website and apply them by USB drive.

It depends on what problem you have with your device. In many cases, the "bugs" are really incompatibilities with the TV for example. A recent update to enable the Xbox to play games at full HD (1080p like the PS3) also made the output via VGA 100% according to the VESA graphics standard. However some HDTVs like a Thompson model state in their User Manual, that they are sung a special graphics mode instead of the VESA standard.

So the Xbox itself isn't buggy. It's just very complicated to know beforehand if a product will work with another product, if standards aren't honored.

because the system was in very high demand as was and they couldn't hold back much longer. If you go to www.gamespot.com and look up xbox 360 and look up patches, it will fix alot of the internal bugs that the system get's every so often. I have it so it downloads all the newest patches auto matically to my 360 so I don't have to worry
