The Statue of Liberty, the symbol synonymous with the United States of America, was originally intended to stand in Port Said, Egypt. Auguste Bartholdi, the statue’s sculptor, originally intended Lady Liberty to be ‘Egypt carrying the light of Asia’. However, when the project proved too expensive, the statue was diverted to be a gift for America.

Yesterday I learned that a hysterectomy is called a hysterectomy because it was thought to cure hysteria in women.

Thats right. We'll pop out her ovaries and she won't have to be locked up in the looney bin anymore.
