Hey! It is possible for a librarian to have a sense of humour. Although I'm not a librarian, I'm forced by my job to spend lots of time with them and I think they can at times be (mildly) funny. Don't believe me, here's a blog from someone who actually WORSHIPS librarians:

And here are more "funny" librarian "jokes":

This Dilbert Cartoon is kinda funny, don't you think?

And how about this testimonial from Brian Plante on his great blog "Brain Planet":

Librarians can be funny folks. I know they do a necessary job, and they sometimes go begging for folks to come up and ask them questions, but most of the time they just sit there, reading. If you're a library rat like me, you already know your way around pretty well and don't generally have much use for them, but it's funny when you do pop them a question. I've gotten the deer-in-the-headlights look a few times when asking for info on inter-library loans and statistics for the library's operation. But they usually know the answer and give it in all good humor.

You know, after looking at all of this,Rob, I think I agree with you any show that is provided free to librarians, is probably NOT going to be extremely funny. Makes we want to go to Islington tonight to see for myself.

Guess I should get back to work... QUIET PLEASE!
