It means the GPRS connection is available but you wont be charged unless you connect to the web so dont worry. I got a Samsung mobile & the G is on my screen all the time

It means that a GPRS connection is currently available. GPRS is the current standard for mobile internet services. It just means you can connect to the Internet via your phone. No need to worry : )

It means GPRS is connected. You need to go into your settings and switch it off, But with GPRS you only get charged for the data you are downloading. Its really like broadband but on your phone.

I actual have a Samsung and that i'm very extremely joyful. beforehand of it I had a Nokia that i had to alter (fortuitously for me the Nokia fell interior the rest room bowl by way of twist of fate)!!! I went on line to envision the adaptation between many telephones and that i enjoyed what I observed. the only ingredient i'm not all that happy with is the decrease back gentle would not seem to outlive as long as i might like it to. yet! which may be that i've got not set it up right. i might get yet another Samsung if I had too....

G stands for GPRS - You are connected to the internet, or you are able to connect as you have enough signal. If you actually on te internet, and don't want to be, disconnect as soon as you can.
I wouldn't worry.
