I think you may be generalising slightly. But then again, a lot of women do hate themselves.

I can't speak for others but as for myself, it's not that I can't stand the sight of blood it's the reason why the blood is there. For example if someone was involved in an accident or needed medical attention I do not mind the blood. In fact I'm a certified medical assistant and work with blood all the time. But if someone is murdered, mutilated, bludgeoned..etc that's when I can't stand the sight of blood. I assume it's the violence associated with the blood that I can't stand.

I think vast majority of women are ok with blood. They don't like the reason why blood is there. For example, watching a horror film a lot of women turn away, becuase they don't like the fact that the guy's arm has just been ripped off and blood is spewing everywhere. I'm ok with horror films because I know it's fake blood etc., however, I'm part of the small majority of women (and men) who hate blood. In fact, I hate the sight of ANY bodily fluid, it just disgusts me. I've had periods for 20 years now, and I'm still not used to it, I try not to look....ewww!!

Who can stand the sight of blood men or women? Its nasty anyway you look at it but I don't know any woman that can't stand the sight of her own period, maybe a 14 year old that's just getting use to her body but not a grown woman.

That's...well...very stupid. Not all women "can't stand the sight of blood" and many men can't, either. Aren't a lot health care workers women? As for the other part...well, the the only thing I can is...that's really stupid. Maybe your just very young, (this sounds like the logic of a twelve year old) in which case, I apologize for calling you stupid. If not, then please stop trying...it's hopeless.

Some women can, and some women cannot, stand the sight of blood; same as some men can, or cannot. I certainly don't think you can generalise and say women are the blood haters.

Don't know where you picked this idea up. As a medico i find women are more stable in crisis of bleeding and trauma than most men.
I have had more grown men faint at the sight of an injection or a cut finger than any woman fainting or screaming at the sight of blood.
Women are also able on average to tolerate higher levels of pain wheras men have a sore something and act like they are dying!

Whats with men and generalisations about women? I've seen men who pass out at the sight of blood. I don't have a problem with it at all.

Not all women have an aversion to blood. I used to work in a PS clinic, so I'm certainly no stranger to the sight of blood.
I think you are just generalising.
Take care.

First of all...menstrual blood is an entirely different story than watching someone bleed say from an accident, or act of violence.
I believe that's what the issue is, as women are more emotional.Men are generally tougher.
But look at how many nurses there are...obviously not all women freak at the site of blood.
No it's definitely not self hate either.
