When dividing fractions, flip the second one over and multiply them
(a/b)/(c/d) = (a/b)*(d/c)
When multiplying fractions, just multiply the top two numbers together, and the bottom two numbers together
(a/b)*(d/c) = (a*d)/(b*c) = ad/bc
Then you can just simplify
In your case
(1/2)/(1/2) = (1/2)*(2/1) = (1*2)/(2*1) = 2/2 = 1
