I think we have done enough to say sorry, but quite frankly, why should I apologise for something I didnt do.
Im getting a bit tired of the same issue bashed into us, but we never seem to be able to do enough, they will always hate us in some way. Its like its all they have against us and they cant seem to get past it.
Im not racist in any way, actually i love black people in general, they have great personalities and are very athletic.
But you will always get the idiots that have recial issues for no apparant reason, but I see just as much (if not more) racism towards whites from blacks.
I dont see why we just cant all get along?

The only people who owe either apology or restitution are those who have profited from slavery. Most are now dead, but the problem still exists relative to Sudan area, and also the sex slavery problem everywhere, and the child/orphan slavery problems in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and some lesser known places. Most everyone now alive has ancestors who were slaves or members of the family tree who were slaves and left no progeny, perhaps dying in this dire condition. This includes all races. Since most people now living are innocent of this abuse, it would be unconscionable to penalize them. Everyone should work hard and get ahead based on their own efforts, not look for a free ride from questionable legal suits. This does not mean that the courts should not continue to award just (not excessive) compensation relative to current matters.

Since I never owned a slave, I don't owe any blacks any apologies. On the other hand, I'd like to know when we're going to be paid back for all the welfare handouts, food stamps, section 8 housing, affirmative action, college quotas, SSI, HUD housing, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, the Earned Income Tax Credit, Medicaid, Food Stamps, child nutrition programs. and free medical they've been getting for generations?
(I know some little Brainiac is going to chime in here and throw in the disingenuous argument that blacks don't collect as much welfare as whites, but since blacks are currently only 13% of the population and collect almost half of the pie, it's clear that they account for a disproportionate piece of the welfare pie.)

LOL, no white people dont owe us anything. The government should issue an apology though and work for making racism not an issue. They ahve apologized to others when Fk'd up stuff has happened but never to the Black Americans.

White people do not owe blacks an apology. It is the American government that owes blacks an apology for slavery, Jim crow laws, denying blacks rights, etc. You personally do not owe anything.

No we don't . Black people are very successful here now, I don't think any of them want to live in Africa now with all of the disease and starvation. My family never owned slaves either, so I don't think I owe them anything, and they shouldn't expect special treatment either.

First of all, our generation (and I suspect everyone who is alive right now) never even took part in slavery. So we don't have to apologize for anything, really.

They can keep their apologies as far as I'm concerned because they are not even the ones who were slave owners(their ancestors were), and we weren't the ones enslaved.
