Try "Angelhair" by Joseph Noga for a good psychological thriller. It's an easy read that is very hard to put down once the reading has started. A real page turner. Free preview is available on the authors website www.joenoga.com Enjoy the read!

What about Moter Mouth by Janet Evanovich? Its very much an easy read, a mystery with a bit of romance, very funny and lots of fast cars. Perfect to read sitting on a beach somewhere
Or you could try something by James Patterson, he isn't too much hard work or maybe Wilbur smith?
Good luck on ur holiday:-)

I think Lonely Planet is one of the few who has the best travel guides around. You can find any in a big book store.
You can also get travel perspectives from VirtualTourist.com, an online travel community that shares travel tips. Or Wikitravel - a wiki with loads of information.
Happy holidaying!

I'd recommend "The Art of Travel" by Alain de Botton, a paperback published by Penguin Books. It's an ideal companion during your leisure and relaxation. His writing style is readable, inspiring and challenging as well as light humor here and there. Enjoy.

I was going to suggest my usual choice of trashy novel which is jackie collins, but i have to agree that the time travellers wife is really good. How about freakonomics?(don't know author try waterstones etc)

not about a holiday, easy reading but good story and character development. not too heavy going but long enough to last the holiday.

wow, so many! I would stick to fiction. Go to your local bookstore and ask to see their new or not so new fiction in paperback. It will depend on your interests. Mystery? Romance? Thriller? Sci- Fi? Chick books? good luck, have fun
