I've seen both Ronald Reagan and GWB speak live at rallies. Didn't get to meet them, though.

Yes, I've attended three presidential inaugurations--two of Bill Clinton's & G. W. Bush's first. I have met Clinton twice and actually all we talked about was trout fishing in Arkansas. I followed him for over an hour. I looked in on a press conference he was holding. He was taller than 99% of the people in the ballroom so he was easy to follow. His handshake was firm, but his hand was soft and you could tell he hasn't had a hard day at work in his life. I've also met Hillary in NY. We spoke of Hope, Arkansas and the fact that they grow the largest watermelons in the world. I also received their autographs & photos. There was no mention of politics, and I found them engaging, intelligent & humorous. I've also met Jimmy Carter in California, shook his hand (he had a good grip, typical farmer handshake). I also saw him again in NY speaking on the Camp David Peace Accords. Security measures changed for Bush. I only got to see him through his limo window. I've also received autographs and handshakes from John McCain in NY after speaking at a Vietnam War memorial, & Mike Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas, and now a presidential candidate for the Republican nomination. I met him at my Church in Texas. So if McCain and Hillary get their party's nominations I would have met one more president.

Saw Clinton at a rally when he was running back in '92. I've met a few other candidates who didn't win the Presidency.

When I was 10, I saw Eisenhower drive by in a limo at Stewart AFB in New York. I did see the Dead Kennedys punk rock band one time but that was different. And they were really bad.

I saw W at Fort Polk, La. It was ok. He must have been in a rush, though. He did make time to eat lunch with a couple of lower ranking soldiers, getting ready to deploy to Iraq.
