If you really CAN work at home, then it is good. Generally, I think that seriously working at home is difficult. Has more to do with your mental state of working ... and if you have kids, pets, or any other work distractions, can be quite frustrating. The very least is you have your TV and comfortable sofa in front of it. But if you have an inhuman level of self control, you would be able to save travelling time, lunch money, office gossips, etc ...

I think it's a great idea. It's called telecommuting. A recent survey found that the majority of managers don't like it. They said the workers are less productive, however the stat's really showed that worker out put was nearly double what it would be if they were in an office setting.
