There's a cream you can get cheaply in Superdrug called - Ah yes! I've just been to check and I see my colleague above has already mentioned it - Palmer's Cocoa Butter Fomula. It's been going for years. It's rich & creamy, and it smells gorgeous.

I have found the Body Shop's body butters to b the best and they smell delicious. The also make a fantastic range of Hemp products which I highly reccomend for dry skin. Good Luck!

Try Aqueous Cream BP which is unperfumed and is like vaseline but creamy and reasonably priced. Or Johnson&Johnson baby Lotion with Aloe Vera (White Bottle) which is also very soothing as an after tan lotion and smells just like a baby. Hope this helps

Best is a Jar of Petroleum jelly. it is best.
Use it on damp body.
And at night use generously on hands and feet. Wear old socks to bed so bed clothes do not soil.
If you really want only lotions, I like Vaseline or Nivea.

Sometimes the best creams are the cheapest ones with the plainest packaging. I use E45, both on my own skin and on my baby's skin. It's done the trick for us. You can get it in any supermarket, boots or most pharmacies.
