This is a rhyming story that I learned as a child. It was scarey then but not so scary now.
Early one morning late at night
Two dead boys got up to fight
Back to back they faced each other
Drew their swords and shot each other
The deaf policement heard the noise and
Came to rescue the two dead boys
If you don't believe my story is true
Ask the blind man he saw it too.

I call this little terror tale "All Through The House".
It was the night before Christmas and a young and beautiful woman had just put here daughter to bed. She went down to the front room with her new husband Joesph (She was divorced). He said the fire is getting a little low do you have the poker? She said yes. He then said let me have it. She then replied by saying what did you say? He then said what are you deaf? Let me have it. She then stabbed the poker in his head. She grabbed a plastic wrap and wrap it around his head to keep the blood from spilling everywhere. She then dragged his body murmuring to herself how heavy it is. She was fixing to put his body in the well when all of a sudden his hand grabbed for her throat and started choking her. She kicked his head until he died the rest of the way. The a man dressed like Santa clause attacked her with an Axe. He started choking her with the Axe handle. she grabbed a icicle and cut his face with it a hit in the nuts. she took off running into the house. She grabbed the phone and called the police to come and they said that a car will be there in twenty minutes. All of a sudden the man jumped through a window and she threw a the phone at and hit him the knocking him out. She then grabbed the other phone and called the police again. She then looked outside and saw that he was not there. She ran to the closet to get the gun. Then a ladder hit the side of the house she looked to see him climbing to the top window. Her daughter opened the window and said come on up santa. She then grabbed the door handle and it came off. She then dropped the gun and started hitting the door. The door finaly busted open at the third hit. She ran out screaming Carrie (her daughters name). She heard a voice say see momy I told you santa would come and she walked out with the man holding her hand carrying the axe. The man then said naughty or nice and came after her with the axe.

Wow, i think the first four people to answer totally missed what you meant. If you want scary stories, read Alvin Schwartz's "Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark" books. I read em as a kid and still remember them. The illustrations (black and white, pencil) are very disturbing and have stuck with me for over five years! Especially the picture of the woman in the story I think called "room 405" or something. The main character is Lucy Morgan in that story.
