Like what the worst thing you've done or biggest mistake? i've been doing a bit too much partying and have ended up making the biggest mistake of my life twice. i've failed exams twice but really want to qualify so i'm going to try again hopefully learning from my mistakes. it not that i cant do it just can never get into study and can do it all in practice but can't write it down properly even if i study it. i get great comments when i'm out on placement but never seem to get the exam. the only thing is it's affecting my confidence now and beginning to get really down in myself. is anyone else in similar situation? did you learn from your mistake or did you repeat the same mistake? how many times did history repeat before you learnt or just gave up?

If we never messed up we would never learn anything. Dont be too hard on yourself. The only changes we can affect is the present and future, the past is dead. Move forward you already know the correct course.

My parents gave me away when I was nine years old. They gave me and my 7 year old brother to an abusive uncle and aunt. If you know the Dersley's from Harry Potter -- that's what they were like. Never a kind word, never a word that wasn't hostile. I lived with then from ages 9 - 13 and when I left them I was so screwed up I never got over it. Every year since age 9 I was the kid in class that everybody hated. I never learned to socialize, never had friends, never played sports, never went to a party. I'm over fifty now and I haven't had a friend in twenty five years or more. I have a wife I hate and who hates me. I have no job, no career, nobody that would lift a finger for me. Things could be worse but I've missed out on a lot of what life could have been.

I got a DUI (Driving under the influence of alcohol) When I was in my early 20's. It cost my drivers license, losing a very good truck driving job, vehicle, apartment, girlfriend and thousands of dollars in fees and fines. I deserved it, as I had blatantly broken the law. As soon as I got my license back, I made a short drive to the store, after drinking a couple of beers. I failed to use my turn signal and got hit, again. This cost me jail time and money. These 2 things cost my life, as I knew it at the time. The lesson learned was a hard one and I am just now, almost 15 years later, fully recovered from everything that this cost me. To this day I have not once gotten behind the wheel while drinking, not even to pull the car into the driveway. I did not have a drinking problem, I was very responsible, I just made a coule of really bad decisions and they were extremely costly!

Nothing bad enough to where it can't be rectified with perseverance, time, and a little luck.
