Earlier this evening, I attempted to run disk defragmenter since my computer appeared to be running slow. My computer couldn't run diskdefragmenter, however, due to a problem with QTfont.qfn. In order to take care of the problem, I went ahead to delete QTfont.qfn. I also had to try to get rid of QTF.for and a prefetch file. However, even after deleting all of these disk defragmenter won't work because the files won't properly delete. They are still stuck in the Recycle bin. It still shows completely empty even after I put on show hidden files and everything, but I repeatedly click on empty recycle bin. It asks me whether I want to remove the files and I click okay, but my recycle bin still has those three items but I can't find them and can't seem to delete them. Any ideas or solutions if anybody has encountered a problem like this before or know somebody who has?

Click Start, click Run, type cmd.exe in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Change to the drive and folder where you deleted the files. For example if you deleted a file from the C:\Windows folder, type cd\windows at the C: prompt, and then press ENTER.
3. From that folder type cd recycler, and then press ENTER.
4. From the Recycler folder type dir, and then press ENTER. You may see some UserSID folders where SID is the security ID for each user who deleted files in that folder.
5. Type cd userSID, and then press ENTER.
6. Type del *.*, and then press ENTER. If you receive an error message that indicates some files are open, quit all the programs running on your computer.
7. Type cd.., press ENTER, and then repeat steps 5-7 for each folder in the Recycler folder.
8. Type exit, and then press ENTER.

I had a problem a couple of times to where the recycle bin kept saying empty, but something still in it. Right clicking and choosing Empty Recycle bin didn't work. The solution was very simple, maybe it might work for you, if you haven't tried this yet.

What I did was double clicked on Recycle Bin to open up the folder. THen I highlighted the file(s) and hit Shift and Delete button. The Shift Delete means to delete and not send to recycle bin. That worked for me.

The records do not flow everywhere after the recycle bin has been emptied, they area on the difficult force purely 'allocates it as empty area', so that they arrive in to be overwritten. (As you've reported your self, quite, so as that area is authentic). at the same time as the records are nonetheless contained in the recycle bin, regardless of the indisputable fact that, they do get positioned in a folder. That folder is named 'Recycler' (In XP; i have purely talked about it really is pronounced as $Recycle.Bin in Vista, so available in residing house windows 7 aswell if it truly is what you're utilising). Recycler, or $Recycle.Bin is often got here upon contained in the basis of your C force, yet you ought to 'educate hidden records and folders' and also 'educate secure operating gadget records' first to confirm it. The records should be cutting-edge in that folder at the same time as they're nonetheless contained in the recycle bin, yet lengthy previous as quickly because it really is been emptied. desire it truly is what you've been after.
