what do you think would happen if she plays men?
i can tell you - she already did. at the time she was the #1 she said "i'm that good, i should play now in the men's tournaments". a german player, Karsten Braasch (ranked ATP #324 at that time, he mostly played doubles), heard this and said "ok, i will play against you" and they did. Serena lost the first set 6:1 and retired.
can you imagine what would happen if she plays Federer?

You have to remember that Sharapova has been having major trouble with her serve lately. She is just head and shoulders above most of the rest of the field, which is why she made it to the final. Serena is one of the best female players ever in tennis, however she still needs to become more fit. She would not even stand a chance against someone as agile as Federer, or Nadal. So the answer is no, she should not play men.

Serena is good because of the steroids and some natural talent. There is no way she could beat any men ranked higher than about 3000 and up.
All pro women know that the #1 woman in the world is typical playing at around the level of the #3000 man. They just don't have the upper body strength.
My college tennis coach beat Navratilova when she was ranked #6 in the world. He wasn't even an ATP pro at the time.

No she shouldn't play men. Her serve is no where near where the men are and she had rough matches during the Australian open. Serena against Federer would be a lop-sided mis-match in favor of Federer. She will lose her share of matches. But She will get back to number one also.

There is a huge difference between the women and the men.
The top women players (including Serena) would have trouble competing with the boys 16 and unders at Kalamazoo.
It is no offense, thats just how it is.

Well, some girls are just that athletic come to Texas and you will see many Sarena's so no steroid talk. There is a difference between a man and a women when it comes to physical ability. She can overpower the women and heck probably the average man, but a male tennis player. Hell naw.

I think she would stand a chance against lower ranked men but not Federer, Roddick or Nadal. She will be thrashed like the way she thrashed Sharapova.

I think that although she is a good tenis player I do not think that she would be able to play against men. I also think that if she played federer it would only add to his earnings because i think he wold win.
