Switch if you want but don't leave one until you have another and give notice at your first job so you don't burn your bridges. It is a lot harder to get a job when you are unemployed. If you are worried that your thinking or feelings are inappropriate, spend some time with a therapist. Maybe they can help you figure out your feelings.

Do a home business also and make yourself financially independent - I recommend Forever Living Products - you can do as many or as few hours as you like and typically on 1-2 hours a day you will earn £1200 per month after 5 months and £30-£40k per year after 2-3 years - if you do more hours you should get more.
They are a $2 billion company growing at 25% per year and need a lot more people - no investment required also, regulated by Dti and Office of Fair trading and have investors in people award also.

Are you bored? Is there no challenge left for you?
If your benefits, and salary are good, maybe look at why you are unhappy. A job with good bennies is hard to come by, so unless your crying on the way to work every day, look for new ways to challenge yourself.

watch the movie Office Space, it will answer all your questions.
I quit my job the day after seeing this movie for the first time and now work in a job that I hate less than the one I quit.

Have a plan. If you want to pursue another line of work. Do yourself a favor and stay with your current employer till you have secured a new position.

Just suck it up and do your job. At least you can say you have one since we got the Democraps out of power. Can't say you'll still have one since they are back with the majority in Congress, but hang on to it while you can.

Yes outside of "work" what do you actually enjoy doing? Decide on that and then the "problem" is only finding someone to pay you to do it for them. You'll never have to "work" again
