I dont think it is fair. I like Labour and their ideals, but it seems like they are against everyone having fun, you can do this, you cant do that. I had to laugh when they said not to burn bonfires!

Fuel surcharges? Are they really doing it to stop or help slow global warming? Or is it another way to line their pockets?

In the long run it will affect the economy in the UK. Cheap flights will no longer be available and the only people who will be able to afford to travel abroad are the super rich, leaving the working class to travel to the sea side (and we will be wishing for global warming while we are freezing our tootsies off). But the reason so little people decide to stay in this county for a holiday is because it so blooming expensive.

What this is doing is forcing people not to take a holiday, and they just continue to work. And then people will become more stressed and ill, then companies and the NHS will suffer.

So in conclusion I feel that no, we should not have to pay fuel surcharge no matter how little they are. Because already we pay too much for no frill flights, and much too much for frills flights.

I hope this answers the question, and I am sorry about my rant!

Yeah..we are in the same boat. We paid for our flights to France in Nov '06 and this month an extra £20 per person was taken for fuel charges.

I think its a disgrace..only the government could get away with this cr@p.

Imagine buying a bottle of spirits before the budget where 10p has gone onto a bottle and the store keeper charging you the 10p next time you went into the shop!!!
There would be an uproar.

New Labour...New taxes!

in march, i don't see how the fuel prices would be more than in november(the holiday season), if anything you should get a refound, the fuel prices are lower.
