yes its free, but some shows are very hard to get into or have long waiting lists. you can go to websites like oprahs or ellens or lenos and see what tickets are avail. For stuff that tapes in LA you can go to www.audiencesunlimited.com and see a list of shows and whats available. I am not sure about shows that tape in NYC, like Regis or the View, but yes they are all free
