Yeah, I don't let my 2 year old have sweets 24/7 - she thinks I'm being cruel but I know I'm being kind....

As a parent, yes, that applies. You have to make some unpopular decisions and listen to your kids say they hate you.

l don't give money to people asking for it as they have this certain project and blah, blah, blah..l don't know who they are.
l give to legitimate charities and foundations.
