Could be. It had to have buried them suddenly or they would have turned to dust. Of the millions of buffalo that were on the prairies 130 years ago there is no fossil evidence of a single one. Not even bones. They were not buried suddenly by some catastrophe.

It had to be sudden. The leg bones of dinosaurs have very thin cortex and large marrow. This is much more like bird bones than elephant( which have very thick cortex and small marrow. Given the size of the dinosaurs under present day gravitational pull the dinosaurs would have crushed their wt. bearing bones just standing on them let alone running or jumping. These were land based animals as tracks have been found now fossilized in stone show. Also, the dinosaurs in Dinosaur Natl Park are trapped in a 7-10 ft layer of now rock. They are not lying peacefully in that strata. They are in full flight, legs in full stride when they were nailed. My theory is either the earth was spinning much faster where their habitat was or a significant mass slammed into the earth adding weight to the earth rather than blowing it to smithereens. More likely both.

Are not certain I understand question. Are you suggesting the
dinosaurs were wiped out from flatulence? A novel concept.
Considering the vast quanity of an explosive flammable gas a
herd of larger plant eaters could probably generate ... I dunno.
This sounds like a project for drunk frat boys who pass more
gas after stag films than any large cold-blooded reptiles.
