I want connect the play station 2 to the internet to play interactive leagues.

it's according to which ps2 you have, the big bulky one or the notebook version...if you have the bulky one you have to buy an internet adapter that hooks into the back of you ps2 you can get one at EB Games or Gamestop used for a little bit of nothing. if you have the notebood version hook your phone line or LAN Connector into the back and setup your connection. most online enabled video games now have the setup software installed into the game as well as soon as you do this then your ready to go find a game and start playing!

If you have the old big ps2 you need a network adapter. They are built in to the small ps2. Use a network cable to link to your computer.
