I like to watch alot of movies..
I'm addicted to movies actually.. like just lately I watched Harry Potter IV 3 times in only 48 hours!!
And the thing is, I usually picture myself making every single move in the Hero/ Heroine's face! weird huh?
Can watching movies for such a long time make me believe I'm the Hero/ Heroine?! lol
Am I soon to jump from a bridge thinking I can fly?
Addiction to movies can't be THAT disastrous, or can it? ^_^

=)

I do have a life, thanks very much Razorback. Lol you guys took it so seriously, it's not that bad! lol plus, you lost the point; If you'd understood what I meant, it wasn't about flying, cookie, it's about picturing that I'm the Hero/ Heroine.
Not as intense as affecting my life or thinking that I'll be able to fly but just for some time after watching a good one.

Moreover, It's just me through a few days of my vacation. I spend my day watching movies as some kind of change.
Again, I do have a life and quite satisfying hobbies. I just hoped some of you guys would get the psycological view of what I mean, the rest is all exaggerated nonsense for the fun of it.
yeah, not everyone does get my sense of humour.
Thanks anyway =)

Kaustiko, I'm starting to think you're either briliiant or just like me! lol
You know, you really got close to what I feel, though I don't think it's strictly connected to imagination.. It probably does in some way though, and your suggestions are wonderful!!
Thanks a dozen, I hope I could role play with my friends.. they're too shy to do anything of the sort *pouts*
But now that you've said it, writing the script for my highschool play , directing and acting it was the BEST experience of my LIFE! Creation itself is inspiring, it has no limits! I love to draw by the way, all from my imagination, I love art and movies are sometimes sort of an inspiration to me. You know, like a stimulation; packages full of new ideas and.
I'll try what you suggested and I hope it does have a connection with creativity.
One more thing, I don't exactly imagine myself as the Hero/ Heroine, but forget it anyway.
Would love to know you better; afterall, you understood what I meant!
No really =))

LoL!! I could not help but laugh with the above answers!!
Everyone thought you are some kind of addicted freak, about to commit suicide!!
With so many "!!" and " :) ^_^ " its more likely that you have a very good mood! It seems to me you have a good amount of imagination! You just dont have ways to express it, so you are doing so through films that produce the desired effect.
You like doing a bit of roleplaying, pretending or thinking you are the Hero/Heroine of the film! So what? Many people do that! Jumping from a bridge? Ha! I would be more worried if you said "going into a phone booth and getting out with a Superman outift" !! :P
Dont worry hun! Its perfectly healthy! You just need more ways to fuel your imagination. Films are fine, but they have this bad habit of restraining our imagination, since they have a fixed storyline and after viewing them once, we cannot get excited anymore, since there is no alternative ending.
Have you considered playing RPGs (Role Playing Games)? Not computer ones. The ones you gather with your friends and play a "real" character. There are many RPGs for many genres, whether you are a sci-fi type of person, fantasy lover, mystery, horror or whatever type you like. They help a lot towards fuelling this imagination. You develop your character and by doing so you learn more things about you. They are even used in psycology.
Just a thought, though :)
You can try to write a book. Or a story, if a book seems to big for an attempt. Try creating a character with a background. Give the story a "movie feel". Describe situations from a film's perspective. Imagine the "bullet time" of the matrix film, or the vivid images in the Harry Poter films. Put it on paper. Make the images words. This way you can "get yourself in the place" of your own characters.
Cheers! I love a person with great imagination :)

Get a life. You need to read or get a project (hobby) going. Or better yet, volunteer with some agency or organization or at your local college, schools or hospital.
Trust me, it's more satisfying and fullfilling.

To my mind it can be disastrous. Choose some other way to spend your free time. It's better to have several different hobbies - thus you won't get addicted to any of them.

Q: "Addiction to movies can't be THAT disastrous, or can it?"
A: Only if you can't tell fantasy from reality.

Only if you want it to be. (Personally, I would lose the tv)
