every time i log on it doesnt go to the home page i selected in internet options it goes to an ad ware site, and when ever i try to type in the home page site on the addy line it goes back to the adware site, no matter what site i designate as the home page, it blocks it and goes to the other adware site

Seems like your system is infected with Adware or Spyware. Go to download.com and download Ad-ware Personal Edition and Spybot Search and Destroy. Install them, update them and run a complete scan.

Once thats done i think you would be able to set your desired home page.

i've read about this somewhere lately. I think it's caused by a worm on your pc.
My firewall caught it once, (whaterver it was called) and i did a search for that name and it described what you are explaining. It is meant to direct you to thier certain page.
I suggest maybe updateing your firewall and antivirus and let it do a scan and find the worm and fixing it.
(be careful about downloading the "Free" things online, seems like they always cause a problem on my pc)

the problem you have is a trojan. what it is doing is changing your settings even after you change them back. it is a program to do this. don't worry it's not a virus. if you download and run AVG it will get rid of it and you can have your settings back. click on the link below to download avg7.5
