That depends.
Methods described in the previous answers may work, however, some of the newer security feature in hard drives made by IBM or Lenovo will prevent any access without the password.
This is set by the hard drive's onboard security features & is not affected by the PC BIOS settings in any way.
Just contact the manufacturer & so long as you are the legitimate owner of the product they will assist you.

On your motherboard this are these three pins lined up in a row some where on the edges of the mother bord they are real small or short on my mother bord there is a BLUE plastic sleeve covering two of the pins they call it a jumper unplug the PC pull the jumper off and move it to the opposite two pins plug PC in wait a little bit then shut the PC down put the pin back where they where restart it. That will delete any password on the entire system if you need further info type (delete lost password) on Google

It is not a hard disk password.. but justa bios password.. Taking out the battery would reset the BIOS.. some motherboards require you to short 2 jumpers to reset the bios.. but usually taking out the battery for abt 30 seconds will do ...

Simply remove the CMOS battery on the motherboard and leave it out for a minute or two, this will clear your BIOS and disable the BIOS password.

open your pc remove out the bios battery from mother board and start your computer 2-3 time continously without battery after 2-3 time starting fix the battery again and now start your pc. your find password is removed.
