Actually, men DO talk about the things that are important to them, its just that those things are usually different from what women like to talk about or what women want them to talk about. Men and women are about as different as night and day...and thank goodness! We speak different languages! Men are fixers and doers by nature. Women are processers and thinkers. We don't want a guy to necessarily fix what ails us, but simply to listen to us vent about it. Since its not in their usual nature, they can often appear bored, tired, blown out of the way or generally uncomfortable. It takes a real man to understand a woman's feminine energy and a real woman to accept a man's male energy. Nice balance if it all works out! Otherwise, fireworks may ensue!

take some time to check out on psychology web sites that discuss the differences in male vs female mental processess. generally, men r inclined to do it first and then talk about it later. Women r inclined to do it the other way. This is by genetic disposition, and serves each sex just fine. I hope this helps.

Jasmine, I think men usually think about their family, perticularly not for themselves. So, they take the time to talk about things that are important to them because men want the happiness of their family. First of all, they think the side factors, appropriate time etc.........

You'll find that men generally don't open up to you unless you ask them whats up with them or ask them to tell you whats bothering them. They just bottle up all their feelings, maybe because they're too embarrassed? It could be anything, you'll never know. Just make sure to tell them that they can tell you anything they want to when they're ready, and you'll always be there for them. Because then they know they really can.
