I dont know about everybody else, but its kinda dark so i cant really see clearly.....

Ok, are you listening? When you enter a dark room, your pupils have not yet adjusted to the very little light. It takes a couple of minutes, then you will slowly start to see better. Capeche?

Because the cones and rods in the eyes take 20-25 minutes to totally adjust. "Myth Busters" did a show on pirates with eye patches and how they adjusted to darkness. It was very interesting.

It takes about five minutes for eyes to adjust from a bright area to a dark area...

Your eyes expand or contract to let in more light or less light. When your outside in the sun, they contract b/c they only need to let in a little light to see. So if you go from the outside, where it's light to inside a dark theater- they your eyes need time to expand to let in more light. So when you walk into a theater your eyes need to expand to let in more light- that takes a minute or so.
