My computer has been running very slowly for weeks now. I have no creditcard so I'm unable to buy any software for this problem. I have tried lots of so called "FREE" software to no availe. Does anyone know of any truly free antivirus and antispyware software that REALLY DOES WORK? Please help URGENTLY!!!!

Unfortunately Fifi none of the free software is as good as the better software that you need to pay for. I had the same problem and had no option but to buy something to fix it. What I got was CounterSpy which is one of the best, most powerful anti-spyware programs that you can get and only costs $20.

Have you tried Spybot Search and Destroy? How about AdAware? Those are both good programs and free to try (spybot's free forever). After you get your system cleaned up, you might want to consider switching to Firefox as your default browser, it's much safer than IE.
Head to CNet and see what they have in ways of antivirus programs...there are also user reviews with comments, and that may help. I hope I helped (at least a little).
