Use FAST (File and Settings Transfer) wizard. Search with: http://www.google.com/search?q=File+Settings+Transfer+FAST

If you are using Microsoft outlook and not Outlook Express you are in safe hands. Microsoft Outlook saves all the Emails in one single file.

To find out the file just do the following, In the old computer

go to Control Panel, Mail , Select Data Files. This will show the location of your current PST File.

Close Microsoft Outlook and copy the file to your new computer.

On the new computer start Microsoft outlook and setup ur mail account.

Now close Microsoft Outlook and go to control panel > mail and select data files. Click add data file. and browse the file you have copied from your old laptop.

Now go to Accounts tab and in the data files list select the 2nd data file.

If you come back to Datafiles tab you would see Maildelivery pointing to the data file you have copied from the old machine.

open outlook and enjoy.

It is not as complicated as i have typed here. The Menu options may vary for different versions.

I have done this more than 100 times in my carrer so if you need any further assistance please get back to me.
