Simpson's is ten times better. Even the humor of "30 Rock" is much more astute than Seinfeld. I like Seinfeld, but the comedy falls in to the "standard TV sitcom" style. Just like Cheers, Night Court, Wings. It's too similar to other shows like Everyone Loves Raymond or any other sitcom built around a stand-up comedian. It's just not unique enough to stand head and shoulders above the crowd. I think the jokes were always just a little bit too safe for my tastes. Although the "Frogger" scene is one of my all time favorites of any show.

Scrubs, The Young Ones, The Office, Seinfeld.
The funniest moment I've seen on television in recent memory was a scene from The Mighty Boosh episode Nanageddon.

I love Scrubs...but I think the best comedy TV show ever would have to be I love Lucy because it is still funny, even today :)

Only Fools & Horses.
Best ever comedy and still funny now.
Best episodes were the Chandelier episode and the Batman & Robin episode.

Twin Peaks. Many viewers didn't get it, thinking it was a drama of some kind. But it was a black comedy. If you go back and watch it again, it's hilarious. But it was ahead of its time, and it didn't have a laugh track.

wow I can't pick one I have a few favs that I love for differnt reasons. my top 4 would be:
Friends - everyone can relate to the situations they all go thru, embarrassing, sad whatever and they made it funny
The Office (US show not the British one) great because there is alot of ad libbing in it and a bunch of very talented actors
Everybody loves Raymond - when your married and have kids this one hits close to home
I love Lucy- classic ya gotta love it
