Think about the things you are good at. Every person has something he or she is good at. Find more then three things.
Then dream and visualize what you want to achieve in life. Take your time for that. And then start to brainstorm what steps you need to do or which paths you need to take to achieve this dreams. Stay flexible as there are many possiblities to achieve a goal. If one path does not lead you to this goal, choose another one.
Then realise that every person is unique and special and every person will value something different. So do not compare yourself to anybody, but treasure what you value and become very aware of it. Respect also other people for their unique values and way of being.
You are special and you can give to others and the universe only your gift if you stay true to yourself.
And then let yourself be inspired by your goals and work on them constantly. Take failure as feedback and if one thing does not work try another thing.
You are special, you are good, use your strenghts and contribute to the world with that and make it to a better place in living your purpose.

I used to be a really shy girl. To gain confidence, I always presented to be the first to do any activity that has to be done in front of the class individually. And once i'm in front, i don't think stuff that can make me nervous. Instead, i tell to myself that i'm a whole lot better than all of them.

Confidence is based on your experiences. If you have positive, successful experiences you'll have confidence. Otherwise not.

It's that simple. Anyone who says you can get confidence through positive thinking or meditation or visualization or self help books or religion etc is lying.

Concentrate on yourself without worrying what others may think bad of you. As long as you're going the right moral way and nobody gets run-over then you're good to go anywhere you want, heads up and never look down.
Remember, there is always one who is shorter in height than one, and certainly is not you. There is always someone who is more dull than you in a line up of geniuses. There is still someone waiting for the train when you're almost gotten to where you're going.
Always speak your mind, ideas and thoughts in reasonable manner.
Hope this helped.

Drugs and drink. Have or do something that will make you confident, create something that others will criticize, that puts you in a position of worth, being evaluated of course.

Run down the street naked.

Don't do this ofcourse, that was just a radical example of how being spontaneous and forgetting yourself can help you become confident.

Plus, a healthy self-image always helps!
