i think about this when i hear a girl calling another girl "hey *****!". And when instead of letting your son serve himself, or wash dishes you do it for him, and how sometimes women (specially those women in the hollywood scene) show no respect for their bodies---

Some quotes - all questions you'll notice rather than statements - this is a controversial post, but only because its currently politically incorrect to ask these questions - even if they are interesting and useful to the debate.

These are quotes by both men and women - not just misogynistic men trying to keep women down - please read on.

Do women think about being sexy more or less than men think about sex?

Isn't looking at business and government saying men have all the power like looking at the supermarket saying women have all the food?

Hallmark had a card that said on the outside "Men are scum" The inside read "Excuse me, for a second there, I was feeling generous." What would happen to Hallmark if the word 'men' had been replaced by the word 'women'?

The word for hatred of women is misogyny and everyone knows it. How many know the word for hatred of men?

Any man would be damaged by the allegation that 'he doesn't respect women.' Why is it so hard to imagine that any woman would be hurt by the charge that 'she doesn't respect men"?

Young men are subject to the military draft in case of national military emergencies. Why aren't young women being drafted now to alleviate the day care crisis? Is one idea sexist and the other not?

Do men have to pay for dates because men make more money, or do men make more money because men have to pay for dates?

Women make less money statistically than men do, but don't men spend less time with their kids statistically than women do? Would women rather switch places?

If "you ask, you pay" is the rule, does that mean that women who place personal ads pay for the dates they get as a result?

How come "you as, you pay" or "the person who makes more money should pay" isn't the rule when "girlfriends" go out together?

Why is sex thought of as something women give and something men get?

We know that male doctors marry female nurses. How many of us can even imagine a female doctor marrying a male nurse or a talented poet struggling to get by?

It is statistically true that married men are more successful than unmarried men. But are they more successful because they're married or are they married because they're more successful?

If women don't need men, why do women want to get married more than men do?

It is widely reported that men's standard of living goes up after divorce. But did any financial advisor ever tell you to get married, raise kids and then have your wife divorce you so your standard of living would go up?

A false allegation of rape can have consequences as severe as - or even worse than - actual rape. Why is it punished so lightly, if at all?

Most newspapers will not publish the names of alleged victims of sex crimes but will publish the names of the accused. But if the accused denies the charges, isn't he claiming to be the victim of a sex crime, namely a false accusation of rape?

If the government has no right to force a woman into being a parent for nine months of pregnancy, why does the government have the right to force a man to be a parent for eighteen years of work and child support?

Why do you never see commercials where the a woman is portrayed as a useless moron, yet you see men portrayed as such all the time?

If men's lives are so wonderful and women's are so full of oppression and degradation, why do men commit suicide 4.5 times more often than girls and women do?

Being a fighter pilot in the military is a highly multitasking job. If women are better at multitasking, why do women have a failure rate in military pilot training higher than men?

If women are better at communicating than men, why don't men say things like "if you don't know, I'm not going to tell you"?

Did you ever notice that when men have opinions that women don't like they're not called opinions, but "attitudes"?

You know, I don't like sexism, but it works both ways. These are examples of how women and men through action or inaction perpetuate the problem.

Women were treated unfairly, but now, men seem to be treated unfairly - just like everyone thought women were just not capable of making it in a man's world and needed saving by knights in shinning armour because they were lesser beings, now we have everyone thinking or at least acting according to the idea than women are superior species - men need women, women don't need men, women don't commit domestic violence, only men do that, kids should always go with mom because she is the better parent - all while making sure she gets money from the father since a man will always be a better provider... the law makes the assumption yet isn't being a good provider a huge part of being good parent?

Nothing is going to actually change - its just going to keep swinging back and forth unless a REAL compromise is reached.

Not speaking for ALL men or for ALL women either - its just another case of the loudest screamers on both sides getting their way. However, I did ask questions rather than make outright generalizations - I consider that to be fair.

There are a lot of breasts pop-in out lately, especially by celebrities. Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Ms Simpson to name a few.
They wear no underwear and the clothes they wear, everything is just hanging out there just waiting for something to fall out.
The thing that gets me is, It does not bother these people one way or the other.
It is like, O well, it's all in a days work.
They know what it taking place and often time they just let it and want it to happen.
The answer is yes.
In the mall, don't go there much, there are a lot of cleavages being exposed there to.
Why would women have 50% or more of their cleavage hung out, if they did not want it admired or looked at.

No women are not to blame for sexism because women have only started to behave this way(like men) over the last 40 years but sexism has existed long before this. In the past, women behaved better then men and showed more respect and consideration for others then men. After feminism, women were equal and some began to act as aggressive, greedy and cruel as the men have traditionally done. It was the women who tamed that bruteness in men but now that we have become just like them, men don't respect us and we don't have as much mental influence over them like we did in the past. Women behaving the way they do today is a back lash to sexism and feminism not the cause of them.

Ahhh! The Trashinistas and their mantra of showing the world what real women are! Women do promote it by going along to get along and often try to bully women that don't put up with it. Women that don't do the things they do are often called smug and stuck up because they will not devalue their person! Men use violence and intimidation to make unsubmissive women accept it as their lot in life. They are sorry excuses for humanity and like it. Look up the real meaning behind calling a man a dog..there's your answer.

I think this is partially true. I guess men and women are just stuck with each other...

I strongly agree with the idea that women should let their sons do things that are their own business. My mom always served me and acted like this and nothing good has come of it! I wish women would do men a favor and stop trying to baby them, because all it causes is pain.

"Why is there so much sexism against women here?" > Apparently not sexist but: > Creates a list to purposefully undermine the validity of any counterpoints to feminism by men & also intentionally destroying the image for other men. Face it, you're sexist. And anti-feminism does not equate to being against the rights of women, I am in support of complete gender-equality by law but I do recognize that each gender has differences while there are exceptions to that rule.

I think sometime we do our own harm. It's like women are our own worst critic. I don't believe we are to blame because that would mean men can't think for themselves. Women are being taught that the only way to be attractive is to get naked... and by women. Men don't need to call us B....'s or S....ts anymore because we do it ourselves.

I watched an Oprah show with Pink about this topic and It's a shame that this is happening to us.... woman need to stick together..... just like the guys do. It's sad, but can be fixed

We're taught it's a dog eat dog world out there and insecurity leads to crass behavior! It's still very hard for most women to tend to their own
'business' - they are expected to 'take care' of those they love before their own needs are met. How many women find time to pursue their own projects and dreams. How many woman have their own space in the home - their own office or den?
We are to blame for falling for the mind set that we have to fight each other to get a man. Women are scared because there is only a short amount of time they are considered 'desirable'!!
Media, mind sets and religion keep squashing woman's spirit, but we don't have to fall for it!!
