I am in my first serious relationship and Id like to hear what others have to say.
I mean, how do you know you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody?
I know people will say "If you have to ask, youre not in love."
But see, Im the sort of person who questions everything. Ive sheltered myself and finally took a chance after high school and Im a little lost.
Even if I felt I was truly in love Id wonder just for the sake of wondering.
Its hard to believe in love in a world where the average marraige doesnt last.
They probily thought they were in love. And look what happened.
I think time will tell. My boyfriend is my best friend. And I think I will only love him more and more.
There isnt anything I could conplain about. Were good for eachother.
I think over time there will be tests. And times where I will stop and say wow, I really love him.
But this early in our relationship and still adapting from the independant life I am nothing but questions.

time will tell... and those that say if you have to ask then you are not in love are right... when it happens you know... you do not spend your life with the person you can live with but rather the person you cannot live without...

Questioning is fine. In fact, I think it's a good thing. If more folks questioned whether they were in love or in lust, we'd probably have a lower divorce rate.
Let's ask some obvious things: have the two of you fought yet? If so, was it a fair fight? How did it end? Does he have annoying habits? Do you yell at him about them? Do you ignore them? Do you tolerate them?
Regardless, time will indeed tell you whether this is love or infatuation. Keep going and see what happens...

you'll usually know it more after breaking up depending on how fast you get over it.
