don't cover her up! she could get a convolution!!! give her a luke warm bath. the reason shes shaking is that her temperature when up really fast. don't worry, she'll be fine. just give her a warm bath and please don't cover her up, its just gonna get worst.

An individual with a fever should be kept comfortable and not overdressed. Overdressing can cause the temperature to go higher. Tepid water [85 degrees F (30.0 degrees C)] baths may help bring down a fever. Never sponge a child or an adult with alcohol; the alcohol fumes may be inhaled causing many problems.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT HER INTO A COLD BATH. A TEMPID BATH IS BETTER AND WILL NOT SHOCK THE SYSTEM.

Do you live near a 24hr. pharmacy? Getting her temp. would be a good thing.

Other than that, I'd put a cool wet cloth on her head and let the fever run it's course. Remember: a fever is part of the body's defense against bugs. Turning it off makes you more comfortable, but ruins a great tool in killing germs.

Go to a 24-hour pharmacy or grocery store and buy another thermometer. If she does have a very high temp (over 102) you should take her to the ER.

You need to take her to ER. If you let the fever go she could end up with brain damage, she could die from dehydration, she could lose her hearing. If Tylenol is not helping her she is in desperate need of medical attention. At the hospital they will ask you questions, maybe do some lab work and probably hook her up to an IV to get some fluids in her. Please take her in now! A fever indicates an infection in her body. Her body is trying to fight it off.Without proper medical attention her body will shut down. This is serious.

You need to get her to the emergency room ASAP! She might have something worse than just a cold. You won't know until you take her. If it's nothing then, it won't hurt and they can give you advice but, if it is something then you will have done the right thing.
