I know this might suck for her, but put her in a cool/cold bath. She will hate it, but it will bring her temp down. If you have Motron, that will help, too.

Hey, you put this in the music section so you may not get too many answers. Here's mine though, from my experience with two kids:

You can give ibuprofen to bring down a fever. Give it at least two hours after you've given tylenol. It's going to have to be children's ibuprofen, and follow the dosage by weight rather than by age. That's what the ER will give to bring down a fever.

Give her popsicles, and sponge her with tepid water. How that works is that you wrap her up in towels, then unwrap one part and wipe it down with a washcloth that's soaked in warm (not hot) water. Then wrap that part up again and repeat with another part. A bath will also lower fevers, but if she's already shivering that might be too uncomfortable.

You can call the doctor's answering service but the first thing they will want to know is how high the fever is, and you don't have a thermometer...If she doesn't have any other symptoms it's probably 5th disease which sounds scary but isn't...they have a temp of 103.5 or close to that at night for two or three nights, gone in the daytime, and then once the fever ends they get a small red bumpy rash all over that goes away in a couple of days. They don't need to go to the doctor for that.

Probably the only thing that can happen from the fever is that she might have a febrile convulsion...if she does, make sure she doesn't hurt herself while it's happening, and then call the doctor afterwards.

first of all, kids with fever should NOT be overdressed, undress her so her body temp goes down. put some wet cloth on her head like a towel, not too too cold, but fresh. if she is aslep try not to wake her but if she's up, for surelet her drink clear fluids. Water is best, or sprite(not coke) that might get her attention and make her smile. Just keep your cool do not panick. kids this age can run up scary fevers, i know i have two kids 7 and 5 and beleive it, 9 little brothers and sisters.
If she has a fever it means her body is trying to fight something by boiling it, so its actually a good thing.
just take off the socks and sweater for now and let her be as undressed and uncovered as tolerable for her, that will bring her temperature down. Also make sure you gave her enough Tylenol, somethimes you can give her a little more, shes not going to overdose, i swear, even Motrin is better for fever. Give her more tylenol. Dont worry, its going to be better tomorrow, its always the worst in the middle of the night.
GOOD LUCK< AND HOPE SHE FEELS BETTER>:))

motrin and tylenol can be used together to bring down a fever. you can give them 2 hours apart, that way they overlap and will help. use a cool compress, the work best on the forehead, neck armpits and groing, because those are spots where your body releases heat. if these dont help take her to the emergency room.

Pls take her to the Emergency Room in your nearest hospital. It's 24 hours, right?

cover her up with blankets and soak a towel up with water and place it over your forehead. Resoak the towel when it gets to hot. it should cool her down.
