Are movies inspired by life or life is inspired by movies?

Movies like RDB inspired retrial of Jessica lal case whereas Parzania depicting true story of victim family of Gujrat riots.

Movies are distortions_on the most part not at all realistic_of life...depicting either real life situations/emotions/actions etc...these emotions/actions/situations are then exaggerated or romanticized
Sure parts of life inspire movies....but movies are created from dreams/fantasy (When was the last time you could identify w/ a Hollywood movie?)......of course I'm generalizing_and I'm excluding movies of the documentary sort...
And sure people can get inspired by movies...for example every time I watch a Hollywood movie I'm inspired to direct my own movies.....meaning Hollywood sucks...torturing me w/ shoddy money makers

First of all what you think?
1) Is simple people have come up with Idea by observing what life is situated it. isn't it? so Life come first which there capture it in a seen and make it a Movies.All the Movies are create by all the Historical people and Places.
2) Normal people are inspire by Movies,Why? because we have different kind of vision when it comes to deciding Inspiring.

both compliments and suppliments to each other.Movies are in integral part of our lives.A good source of entertainment.Life is a good source of inspiration for movies.Movies sometimes take ideas from real life stories.

I would say both inspires each other to some extent but not all the times..

MOVIES ARE INSPIRED BY LIFE:
Yes, they "sometimes" are.Like movies you said and a other few movies are inspired by life like MUGHALEAZAM, GANDHI, and a number of them.But "not all movies" are inspired by life.We have movies, which do not have any connection with life.They are fictitious and not inspired by anybody's life.

LIFE IS INSPIRED BY MOVIES
Some of the movies are such that we get a print of the movie on our heart and mind.We like the characters of the movies so much that we try to become like him.for example Shahrukhkhan in DDLJ or say Salman Khan in HAHK and so on.Or some movies are very educative that it teaches us a lot.like BHAGBAN teaches us to love our parents.
But this does not mean that all the movies inspires us.There are a lot of movies which we see and forget.We even do not remember the story after 15-20 days.These are the movies which have not succeded in keeping itself in our heart and minds,hence do not inspire us.

American Gangster (2007). It inspires me to be a leader and motivates me to keep working hard to earn anything I want. I know there's a major drug aspect to the film, but nevertheless I have taken leadership as a focal point from the film more so than anything else.

It entirely depends upon your thoughts whether you take them lightly just to pass your time or you follow the ways shown in movies. If you take the as a passtime then it doesn't effect your life at all but if you take them as a guide to ur life then they would surely effect your life and obviously your views too.

definitely movies r inspired by life, bcoz generally writers get inspired by any incident happening around dem,dis incident might b so small dat v normal persons even don't care about it.
but writers see it, think over it, collect some facts n den with their creativity create a whole movie out of it.

I feel both are inter vine, movies are inspired by real life but what happens in our life is faith and destiny. We do what is decided and when it is done we make movies. There cannot be a perfect world.
