Me and some buddies have a hangout for bonfires behind my house...the little cricle of rocks disappeared and ashes are wet....BUT....

We have like 4 [old] Couches + a recliner [...and some random hay] that are in the rain as I type this.

Coudl anything bad happen to the couches? It has rained before, but not this hard....I always thought the rain might clean them...wash em up n stuff....

Anything helps, Thanks!

Yeah it will ruin them once the padding (stuffing) gets wet whether it be foam or cotton or something else. When that happens mold and bacteria will grow giving them a bad odor. And if it is something other than foam it is going to lump up as well.

The biggest problem healthwise is that mold will grow on them. It is still somewhat controversial but for some people the spores given off by mold can be toxic

The foam in the cushions may mildew. If it does, the furniture will have a foul smell and you probably won't want to sit on it anymore (but you'll have something for your bonfire at least).

Depends..standing water could cause bacteria and such to grow in them causing it to smell bad. Plus its going to be wet.
