Iwould like to record music onto disc, could someone please assist with the procedure, I am using toshiba satellite - it is new so I dont know how to start

You mean, you will record by yourself? if so,
you must use special multimedia audio editor and nero burner in order to record and put it on cd...
multimedia audio editor will use upon recording your music to make a normal file like mp3 or wav into your hard disc...
nero burner will use upon recording your music to disc...
