Well there are 2 ways to reduce salt or sediment in your water. The first is by distilling it which is expensive. The second is to filter your water using water filters.

This is what I had to do after getting my water well cleaned out. I had to put three filters in line.

The first filter was a 20 micron filter
The second filter in line was a 5 micron filter
The last filter in line was a 1 micron filter.

Depending on how much water we used determined how ofter we had to have the elements in the filters.

You can get the filters from any home supply store line Lowe's Hardware, or Home Depot through their on line shopping since you are over seas. And they are easy to install yourself using PVC plastic water pipe.

In addition to the in-line filters on my incoming water line; I also added a Pur filter on our kitchen sink faucet.

Hope this helps.
