The statue of woman holding a scale in one hand & a sword in other and is blindfolded means that "Justice is blind ( though it looks weak in physial sense) has a great power, this statue has been taken from old Greek Mythology by the Jurists who created Law at the time of Aristotle & Plato.

Scales of justice is tool for weighing ones crime , the aggravating the heavier while mitigating the lighter. the origin of the symbol maybe by the Roman or Greek where legal jurisprudence originated. The woman holding the scale is blindfolded, meaning the law does not favor anyone. No one is above the law.

Let Obama have his lib on the court, she is replacing another lib and she is actually not as crazy radical liberal as other appointees he had on his list. That list was scary, all a bunch of ginsbergs. Just pray he does not have to fill another spot in 2010 or 2011. We should focus on getting republicans elected in Nov 2010 to remove some of this authoritarian democrat regime in Washington that is socializing America and destroying our economy and personal freedoms.
