what are the special chracteristic of each species?

That is a rather specialized genra of catfish that has several special characteristics that make them both cool and a challenge to keep. I too would suggest the link above as a starting place, but if you are serious about keeping them, you really also need to spend a little and pick up a few books on the subject.
