I do'nt know what ayurvedic formulation even means! But I have two really good remedies for cold symptoms.
1) If you have a stuffy nose, squeeze a few drops of lemon or lime juice into your nostrils. It stings, but clears them up in no time!
2) Boil about a tablespoon of Hibiscus leaves (also called karkade in Arabic) in a cup of water for 3 to 4 minutes. Then add a teaspoon of dried ground ginger and sugar to taste. Drink it while it's still hot!

I can't give you an ayurvedic formula for a cold, but I can give you a natural one. Buy garlic capsules and Goldenseal capsules (better than the tablets). Take two of each when you get them, then take one of each of the tablets four times a day, at breakfast, (eat before you take the pills), lunch, dinner and at bedtime. Make sure that you get plenty of water. It should clear it up in a couple of days. Colds are caused when our body has more intake of toxins into our body than we are able to get rid of. Refined foods, some raw foods if not organic, and refined sugars will all contribute to you getting colds. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

One of the best herbal cold and flu remedy is Yarrow. It has many different uses as an antiseptic, astringent, blood purifier, diaphoretic, diuretic, and stimulant. Yarrow is well-known for its use as an herbal remedy for cold/flu/fever. The best way to use Yarrow is as a hot tea during the first stages of sickness, especially in combination with Elder, Catnip and Mint. It takes away a lot of the aches and pains of cold and flu and speeds up recovery.

Eucalyptus, mullein, with a little honey. We use these remedies very often (I'm Mexican), for colds, coughs, and bronchitis. I usually buy the dried herbs separately, but you can purchase the tea bags at any grocery store. (TADIN - Bronco te "broncaid") . If you can't find them simply purchase them separately, boil some water, turn off heat when water boils, add the hebs after you turn off, cover and let sit for about 5 min, add honey and good luck!!!
