Ok, I'm just wondering if this has happened to any other moms out there or if it is normal to last this long? I seem to have to go to the bathroom alot more now than before i was pregnant. I was told by some moms I know that after having a baby when you sneeze or cough you will have leakage, well it's almost a year now!? I have bronchitis so I cough really hard sometimes and happens alot. This was not the case though before I had a baby. What do you think? Is this normal after a year or should I see a doctor to fix this problem? Thanks!

yes, dear this is true as the uterus becomes big and the opening of cervix also increases so it is difficult to control and sometimes you may have a leakage, but if it is too much than i would advise you to visit the doctor, just for your satisfaction...

It has happened to a lot of women that I know and it is pretty normal. You can strengthen that area by doing Kegel execises several times a day. While you are peeing, try to stop the flow of urine. Now that you know how that feels, try it when you are not peeing in sets of 10-12, about 3-4 reps. 2-3 times a day. I still do it at all red lights while I'm driving, sitting in a boring meeting or?????

You should have been doing the Kegels after you had the baby to tighten up your muscles again. Sex also helps.
See your doctor before it gets worse. You could have had an undiagnosed bladder infection and it could have affected your bladder.

yes it is normal my doc told me to try kegel exercises and to try to make my self with stain from peeing for two hours after I've gone. It's like training. There can be things in your diet that can also trigger this like fake sweetener. You should also talk to your doc about it. I had the same problem I was sent to specialist to checked to see if there was anything physically wrong as it can be sign of a bigger problem.

That is normal (unfortunately). I know women that still have problems with that and it has been 20+ years! However, do Kegel's exercises (look it up online) and you might be able to strengthen the muscles enough so you will be able to hold your bladder longer.

Yes, go and see your physician. It could be a minor bladder irritation that can be fixed with antibiotics, so why put yourself thru any more discomfort?

Welcome to the club. Three babies later and 55 years old, and it is still happening.

Of course, you should always see a doctor.
